Bulgarian Organization for Wine Tourism (BOWT) is a non-profit association dedicated to the development and popularization of wine tourism in Bulgaria. Established on 22 July 2025, the association brings together leading wine producers, tourism experts and interested organizations with the aim of creating a sustainable and high-quality wine industry and tourist infrastructure in the country.
Our Mission
The mission of BOWT is to present Bulgaria as an attractive wine destination that combines the country's rich cultural-historical heritage, unique terroirs and high-quality wines. The association supports local communities, regional and national initiatives, creates partnerships between public and private sectors and promotes Bulgarian wine on the international stage.
Main Objectives
- Development and popularization of wine tourism in Bulgaria;
- Support for local producers and sustainable development of wine regions;
- Creation of a network of partnerships between business, institutions and academic organizations;
- Encouraging the exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices in the sector;
BOWT brings together full members and associate members. The association works for the sustainable development of the sector and supports its members and partners through expert and organizational assistance, ensuring high quality and professionalism in all initiatives.
